Since we began in 2010 there has been an over growing desire for junior high age campers to become Junior Leaders at Alive Adventures Camp. We most definitely want to promote leadership in young people and therefore have created this Junior Leadership camp opportunity. During this two day, 1 night camp the junior leader experience what it means to be a leader along with getting prepared for a real life leadership role that they will play during 1 or more camps this summer. They learn how to lead basic drumming, yoga, games, and basic care for others that are younger and less experienced then themselves. They also learn about safety in and around the water, the wooded areas, and promoting safety within a group of younger campers. Not only do Junior Leaders play a role in helping with children and camp activities but they get assist in the kitchen when time allows and in helping to keep the camp in order for the well being of all. It is an ultimate responsibility and a great way to encourage responsibility and pride in workmanship and leadership.

This is a wonderful opportunity where your child can learn and grow through real life experience.

*This camp is a pre-requisite for fufilling a volunteer “junior leader” position at one or more of the up and coming summer camps. Volunteer camp dates must be arranged ahead of time in order to be prepared.
